Cheng Yaojin, formerly known as Yaojin, is later renamed Zhijie Yizhen, a native of Jeju Donga (now southwest of Dongping, Shandong), the founding general of the Tang Dynasty, one of the twenty-four heroes of Lingyan Pavilion. At the end of the Sui Dynasty, Cheng Yaojin successively enters the Wagang Army, supports Wang Shichong, and then surrenders to the Tang Dynasty. He follows Li Shimin to break the Song King Kong, capture Dou Jiande, and cast down Wang Shichong, and use his merits to make the Su Guogong. He participates in the revolt of Xuanwumen, becomes Luzhou governor and general, and is renamed Lu Guogong, Puzhou governor.
